Once a year man!!
Mornin' all,
After being very smug during last year's snow, I went out the other day to find I had no 4wd. Light on dash is on, but nothing happens. I've read the download on cleaning, and am about to have a go. Can anyone tell me what to look out for, what might be broken, and which bit might be jammed/clogged and causing the problem? As usual, I look forward to your excellent advice. Cheers Neil |

And when I say cleaning, I'm on about the auto hubs.
Sorry. |

in the part that comes off the wheel, you will see a thin round ring with two lugs (brake ring) this should move around freely. It is sprung from behind so it will pop out if you get it in the right position. Give everything a good clean (I use WD40) then a good smear of grease, including the faces before you bolt it up again.
My best tip would be to use a bloody good allen bit, nearly all the bolt heads on mine stripped because I tried to use a cheapo allen key. Copper slip the bolts before you put it back together. |

Nice one. I feel a trip to Halfords coming on. Followed by some getting dirty and cold.
Still, if it works, that's me (and the Mrs) happy. |
