Thanks for the club Adrian flux discount link,
I just downloaded my card statement
From Adrian Flux £25.61
Premium for the year around £330, would have been less I they had back dated it, but not to be sniffed at

Not for all 4x4 drivers they doubled the best quote I have had blaming it on a claim I had this year, I had a knock in a car park no damage to my car £1500to the other car. Thing is they can blame this all they like but every other insureance company knew about this and they gave me a reasonable cost.
Come on Dan not much of a specialist insurance company for 4x4 drivers, my quote left a very bad taste and none of the other quote included club membership discount.

I did I said I heard you would aim to beat any quote but they knew nothing about this and I could not remember where I heard about this.

Kind regards

yesterday the renewal came for the second car 229 so rang them up and asked for a better price and got it down to 178.51 no excesses at all even on glass only thing is cant protect my no claims as using it on other t2. all fully comp.
the first car on my policy was 298 to renew and again phoned up and they took 75 off of it.

I think it depends on who you speak to, Shouldn't be the case but I've read it can be a but hit and miss depending on who you speak to.

Hi Russell

Thanks for the post.

Could I ask you to PM me your details so I can check this out?

Unfortunately for obvious reasons we cannot compete on every occasion although we do have thousands of happy customers where we have been able to compete. I'll certainly check this out to see why we were so far out this time and to see if we can do anything else to reduce the cost.

Kind regards
Dan.

I've given them two tries at insuring us. Once a few years ago and a the most recent last week for the project truck. Can't get quotes anywhere near as low as yours Harlowmav. Made no difference when I spoke to the lady on the phone when I mentioned the club or Dan. Have been incontact with Dan via PM.

Ended up being easier going to DirectLine for not a lot more with a lot more cover. Didn't have the time or enthusiasm to do battle for went with DL.

Maybe next year

I had to get Dan on the case this year to get a decent renewal price as the intial offer was shocking.

I've liked my time with Adrian Flux but I'm not sure I'll bother with the fight again next year if I get more of the same come renewal

Exclamation Refused Insurance is a complicated term.

Worst still, once you have been to them for a quote, and they have refused to insure you as in my case, I did more than 6000 miles, it put's your insurance up when you go to other places, and they ask if you have been refused insurance...

So do be careful if you go to them for a quote.
To be "Refused Insurance" is a legal term that as I understand it means you have an Insurance Provider (or Cover) and "you have made a claim but the Claim has been Refused".e.g. Because you have not declared a Conviction, Disqualification, or made a false declaration in your application etc

It does not mean that an Insurer has declined to offer you cover when applying for a quote
