Day out in the Mav
yesterday i little roadtrip with my dad in my new mav. i drove over to leicester to see my mate and to buy some part worn cooper s/t's off him. the trip was a good experience to see what the car would be like for longer distances. on the whole it was a nice ride, apart from i find the seats really un comfortable: i partly put that down to how i sit and because of this the seat doesnt give me any upper back support. the car also scared me a bit on the way home. christ dont it fly when the turbo kicks in: i overtook two cars and a bus doing 50, i just planted my foot in fifth and before i knew it i was doing 95!!
on the way home i dropped in our local offroad site (venture 4x4) because the suzuki club im in were having a fun day. i was lucky that the site had missed all of the rain and was mostly dry, otherwise my really worn bridgestones wouldnt of coped. if you ever get a chance to go to the site its well worth a visit, something for everyone. after an hours driving about im officially a diesel convert. im never had engine break before!! the car coped surprisingly well with the hills, although i did get slightly stuck once (tyres overwhelmed with mud) and had to tugged free by a guys sj. ive just been to garage and are having my bridgestones swapped for the coopers this thursday, ready for when i go offroading at bures on the 2nd december pictures of the day |
