Greetings all,
Just thought I'd introduce myself, first chance I've had to post properly. Got my first Terrano in February (2 days before the "worst snow in 18 years", yes I was very smug to finally have a 4x4!)
I have to say I'm really impressed with the Terrano, I was lucky to get a low mileage 3.0Di and I'm glad I did, I bought with the intention of towing in the future and from the way the car pulls I reckon its going to be great for the job.

Big thumbs up to the forum, its been really useful already, £10 very well spent!

Already got myself some big AT tyres which I'll be keeping for the muddy stuff, now to start thinking about extra toys for Terrano me thinks! I'm seriously on a budget, so all mods are going to have to be clever and homemade me thinks! I'll keep you all posted!

Finally well done to Nissan, a cracking motor and unbelievably good value!

Walshie

Welcome Walshie, albeit a late one.

Glad to hear you're happy with your new 3.0 Di T2. When you get used to her I'd be grateful of some 'hands on' real figures re fuel consumption, as I'm thinking of upgrading next year.

As a newcomer too I have to say I have not regretted spending the Tenner one bit and the info kicking around is brilliant.
I also have a 3.0 di auto.53reg with 59k miles on clock, and one previous owner.Really chuffed with the motors performance towing 1600kgs+ of caravan. Just hope the autobox is going to stay the course,as I have heard it can develop major probs.
Although it has a fair few toys, I find it a bit short of decent sized door pockets and armrset storage, but that is the only complaint I have so far. Almost forgot about the water leaking in to the nearside corner of the boot area, but hopefully I have sorted this with the help of members suggestions posted recently.

Regards Mikep

Welcome walshie!

And @ mikep....its fairly unusual though for the auto box to have problems - its expensive when they do, but you try finding a replacement.....they are like hens teeth because they don't usually fail. Just don't abuse the towing weight limits, because thats what usually does for them - least it did for mine!

No probs mate, the mpg is probably the most impressive thing about it, mine's a manual lwb and I use it for both motorway drives and daily commutes/roud town driving and I've never had it drop below 30mpg. Recently did a long run from Birmingham to Angelsey and didn't drop below 75mph the whole way, averaged 35mpg!! very impressive for a 2tonne vehicle. When I'm on a normal drive at 80-85mph it usually does around 32mpg.
