For all you dodgy geezers
Got something to hide?
On your PC I mean! Seriously, if you want to encrypt files (documents, photos, etc..) to keep stuff away from prying eyes (wife, kids, vicar..) I've used this product for ages. Like AVG and SpyBot its free for use on a home PC. http://www.handybits.com/easycrypto.htm But two tips: 1. If someone looks on your PC they will see the filename but only a 'No Entry' icon and they won't be able to open the file without the password...so if the filename is a giveaway change it. 2. DO NOT FORGET THE PASSWORD YOU GIVE THE FILE - its 128 bit encryption and to all intents and purposes (i.e. for the likes of us!) unbreakable... enjoy... |

What kind of people do you think are on this site???????
I'm sure our PC's and files could be opened up to the world for scrutiny without any embarassment being caused...............Couldn't they?? Hands up all those with something to hide, see no hands, I knew we were a decent bunch. |

LOL! well like I said, for gods sake don't forget the password....i've often encrypted something with an upper case p/word by mistake, then had an apoplectic cos I couldn't open it with a lower case one cos I thought thats what it was...!
