Is that the aquaduct thats very high up and fred dibnah went across and walked across gunnels of the boat on the side of the bridge without railings

Sounds like it, the aquaduct in Chirk is the same, just not as high. The tunnel at Chirk is fun for a walk through without torches, you reach a point of complete darkness where you can't see either entrance.

Yep went over it today, over 100 feet high, not easy to take pics when trying to steer and stop the boat bumping the sides, due to the fact we lost two of our crew members today, Dave cos he got ill and his other half that accompanied him to hospital, not heard how he is yet other than they think it is gall bladder related, moored in the head of the line basin tonight and will do horseshoe falls tomorrow, Rick

Cannot avoid it, there is a flow against you of 12 million gallons a day, thumping the side is happening all the time, testimony to Telfords engineering and it has withstood that for 200 years with much heavier boats than ours, Rick
