brake problem
hello, I own a ford maverick xtl 2001 and I've had it a long time with not much to worry about but lately my brakes are acting up,
I have replaced front o/s and n/s calipers, discs and pads. some times they both bind and other times the pedal feels crunchy and the brakes don't work effectively.I have bled the system thoroughly as well. any one had a similar experience ? I would welcome some input cheers |

Hi,
Sometimes, when the ABS kicks in when driving other vehicles I could describe the braking as feeling/sounding crunchy and being the ABS kicking the braking felt ineffective for a moment. It happened to me the other day when driving a 2013 Ford Ranger started braking on tarmac and continued to brake as I pulled the passenger side front tyre onto a soft verge. The loss of grip made the ABS kick in on that wheel and it felt and sounded crunchy. |

Sounds to me like you have an ABS problem, most likely a wheel sensor cable fault, Rick
