Default Banshee went on an Adventure

So yesterday I got to work and got a bit excited by a cheap Patrol that you might have seen on eBay

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-pa...UAAOSwBjdaCKuB

I was dead keen on it so asked my boss for the afternoon off I took a drive out over there and had a look around it and after speaking to Craig and Rob I decided was probably best to give it a miss. It was parked smack bang in the middle of a lot of heavy machinery that Craig rightly pointed out that it had probably been dragging around the yard it's whole life. Coupled with the fact that he said the engine didn't run and they didn't know why. The radiator cap was missing, the coolant reservoir cap was missing and the tank was cherry red and when I pulled the bottom hose from the radiator it was bone dry. The rear doors were rotten and didn't open, the rear of the tub was starting to rot, the sills had gone and so had the passengers side wing but apart from that the rest was surprisingly straight, especially the bodywork.

I left and pulled down the road and sat in front of a lovely orchard for a few hours trying to sell the axles to contacts that I have in the Nissan breakers world and nobody wanted them.

I called it a loss but all I'd spent really was about £30 in fuel and taken an afternoon off. I had parts waiting for me in Newport from another breakers I've spoken with a lot on the phone but not had chance to meet him until last night, as I was only an hour away from him where I was looking at the Patrol it made sense to go and grab all my stuff.

He has an awesome place and only breaks Fronteras, Terrano's and Patrols deffo a guy I will be having a lot of dealings with again

Good contact there mate, maybe worth a sticky post for parts suppliers. Is it just me that thinks it is very sad when a often perfectly good car gets broken for parts. Think you did right giving that trol a miss though

Shame for the Patrol sat in that field... If the back end was as bad as you say, it's not even worth looking at for my Trailer Project. (I had seen that add, and thought, great... Non starter, just what I need!)
