Came across this website that shows various battery dimensions according to type.

If you navigate the pages it lists all the Nissan ones.

According to that list the correct size battery for a 3l is a "005" which I've attached below, Jim how do those measurements compare to yours?

Not sure what year you are looking at but a 3.0 L Terrano could also be a Type 334 if it's based on the WD21 platform ?
