Default Terrano R3M For sale

Our poor 1990 R3m WD21 2.7Td Auto has sat on the drive way unused for way too long, and now has to go..

Before I stuff it on Ebay, I wondered if anyone on here would like her as a project car..

Basically, its for spares, off roading or if you like welding, maybe even repair...

The Engine is very good, but it is a non-intercooled version, otherwise, I would strip it down for parts, and stick the engine in my car as it has only done 93K miles, and even when left standing for several months, always starts first turn..

This is not something you can drive home, fix a couple of holes and be away, but I also do not think it is actually a complete scrapper either. A great winter project.

If anyone is interested, I will happily take some pictures and answer any questions you have.

We are looking for offers around the £300 mark. You will need a trailer to take it away, as being an automatic, you shouldn't tow it, although having said that, I guess you might be able to with the engine running.

Sadly she is off to the great car wash in the sky.

I had a look under her, and there is more rust than I realised. Even with my new found welding skills (yeah right) I don't fancy starting that as a project.

I have found a company that will pick her up and give us £85. It will be a sad day, but it wall also be nice to get the front garden back.

The swing out carrier seems a great idea until things get practical. The camber on most roads mean the N/S is often lower than the O/S so it wants to close. So it's raining, you have several bags of shopping, and you then have to open the carrier, fiddle releasing the locking pin from it's clips and then get it to pass through the two holes, to lock it open, which is very hard one handed. Then you can lift the tailgate.

You can open the glass without opening the carrier, but that is done from a switch on the dash, so you then need to be out in the traffic to open the drivers door, lean in and find the switch, then go round the back again.

Basically a very wet pastime. Lol.
