Was achieved on Boxing Day whilst driving to Mother's with 2 thirds motorway & the rest A roads.
Last time it was 37mpg which I recall some said not likely as you need a few runs to compare.
I have to agree that 37 is/was optimistic, but what do guys think about 32?
Same as before...... Brim & zero the mileage. Upon return, brim again, check mileage & calculate.
Your input is as always welcome.

I managed that once, but only once. Think with correct flat terrain and easy roads and light on the pedal it's quite achievable

Brim to Brim can vary a bit depending in how level the motor is, If I am going to do a serious MPG test I do it over a number of fills and no need to brim it each time, just the first and last fill, total gallons (ltrs x 0.22) and total miles, and do not forget if you have standard tyres you oddometer will be over reading by around 3 miles per 30, so there are many vairiables, Rick

Filled in the same place as last time. As for tyres & speed, yep you're right :thumb2
It's good to get a rough idea of MPG though.
She's also running 50/50 oil & diesel too, if that would make any difference :nenau

I think that sound fair, for how you say you drive it... When we go to a Steam fair near Norwich, with the caravan, we can manage 28, again on Motorway, and dual Carriage way A roads for all but a few miles of the journey. The thing is, the roads are basically flat all the way with the steepest hills being the slip ways on and off at the junctions.

Take the same unit to Pembrokeshire, and it is up hill on both the the way there and back, so we drop to 22MPG.. :doh

Eh :lol :lol

Just checking you were paying attention... :lol:lol

Having said that, it does feel that way, I think it because all of the down hills are quite steep and often have cross winds so you have to drive both up and down the hills using gears and engine breaking.
