Fixed mine with glass fiber... easy but messy. Taking the wing off will make it easier - and will allow you to fix all the hidden rust spots you did not know you had

Glass fibre is the best method for repair, but you have to remove the wing to get at all the rust inside and out, if you do not kill all the rust it will come back in no time, I favour sand blasting back to bright metal then fi glass straight on it within half an hour (this is important as bright metal will start to rust very quickly) once you have covered the bare metal you then can complete the rest at your leisure, but as said for my work motor for which I am not POSH conscious I use gaffa tape, Rick
