Default R404a

As above is anyone in the air con game that can supply me with a bottle of R404a, as my normal supplier now wants some stupid certificate that I do not have and would never be involved with anyway, will pay the going rate and if bottle hire is a problem I have an empty that I can decant into and return yours no problem, I would prefer not to get involved with R442a, Rick

Hi Rick, I just had a brief look at the new regs, they certainly are controlling it's use.
I would suggest if anyone can advise you what to do, that they PM you.

now why oh why should I go to the expense of getting a bit of paper to deal with stuff I have been dealing with all my life , what it is all about is simply making it very hard to buy the stuff so manufacturers are then pushed into making cooling equipment for the newer gasses, but they are loath to do this as they become less competitive, while other manufacturers are still producing gear for 404, an example of this is we have just had two brand new commercial display counters delivered and guess what 404 is their gas, but all of this is nonsense anyway, freon (global name for refidge gasses) is supposed to deplete the ozone layer, and according to those that "know" it takes 20 years to get from here to the layer to damage it, now the gasses used in high quantity at that time were largely R22 supposed to be far more damaging than R404 so that lot is now doing its bit up there, but hey up latest results are that the ozone hole is a lot smaller, conned again, Rick
