Windscreen replacement is booked for Thursday.

Does anyone know if I can find a replacement center peice for the mirror fitting or alternatively a complete mirror assembly that bolts straight to the original fitting on the windscreen.

The Nissan Terrano windscreen comes with the metal fixing as part of the screen, removal is not an option (as physically bonded to the screen), so wonder if a Halfords jobbie would be compatible or if I must source a second hand mirror "arm"

What happened to your original mirror that came with the Terrano?

Ive got the mirror thats fine, however the arm that the mirror sits on had the ball one side (for the mirror) and the two arms on the other side (for the window) one of the arms is broken.

I mentioned the mirror problem to a local windscreen fitter, he said to be carefull to use the correct adhesive to fix the mirror, he said the wrong stuff could cause stress fractures

One came off in a company owned Vectra once, I tried all the usual double sided tapes for mirrors, but they didn't work, they held it ok, but the first time you adjust it without holding the arm, off it came.

So I cleaned the area with cellulose paint thinners and applied a thin layer of araldite, but it started to slide down the screen, so I rigged up a yard brush to press against it, from the seat.
I left it overnight, fortunately it didn't move and was very secure.

When or if it ever needed a replacement windscreen, then that would be a challenge to remove it lol.
