Solution, run another M8 bolt onto each thread, and use as a lock nut.

My annoying squeak turned out to be the mother inlaw I couldn't really douse her with wd40 so I just removed her from the truck altogether it was an instant cure.

I had a horrific squeal that came and went. Only happened at very low speeds for a while, then came on while I was on the motorway & scared the life out of me. Turned out to be a brake liner on the rear shoes. Looked perfectly ok until I tapped it with a screwdriver & it fell off the backing. Loads of friction material left, too. New shoes fixed it
