hi to all , newbie to nissan
hi guys
just thought i would say a quick hello. just recently lost my job and had to down grade the age of my car . I bought a nissan terrano swb 2.7 deisel (1995) for my wife. I am in the process of buying a nissan patrol for my self 1990 lwb 2.8 petrol. hopefully pick it up tomorrow.I think they are a good value buy 4x4 compared to some makes. living in the lake district we are quite dependent on 4x4,s. so I may be needing lots of help and advice, with the cars being on the older side. dave : |

Welcome, is the Patrol one of the old 160/260 models? they don't make them like they used to do they  I have a 1993 Y60 4.2D high roof LWB, it feels like it's bomb proof. |

hi bat21
hi bat21
not pick it up yet, the owner has not listed alot of details on it ,only basics. it is a old one. here the good news only 41000 on clock and one owner from new. it looks like a new car inside and out. still learning about the models with nissan as my last couple of 4x4 where hilux and landcruiser.so know alot about them.this is where you guys come in. I can pick up the tips and advice on it.will be wanting to upgrade the tyres and put some other goodies on it to cope with off roading. I know it is 2.8 petrol, lwb and 1990 model, very basic but solid.would have prefered a deisel with present fuel climate but hey it is a minter and i could,nt help myself.should drive like a new one. dave : |

41,000 miles 8O it will be another 60k before it's run in, sounds like you have a good one there.
It sounds like the 160/260 shape, although the Y60 was introduced in 1989 I think it was only available with the 4.2 petrol and diesel engines. We had a Hi Lux Surf and a Landcruiser join us on our trip to Morocco last year, both performed very well, the Surf was suprisingly impressive  |
