any 70 amp plus relay will do the job, two small spade terminals for the coil and 2 large ones for the contacts, most are less than half the size of the Nissan one and will tuck in anywhere, Rick

Ok my dad has a nissan elgrand zd30 engine and keeps blowing glow fuse. If you turn key and wait for glow plugs to warm the relay clicks off after about30 seconds same as my terrano. If you start the engine the relay takes ages to go off as it's turned of by a certain temp again as my terrain does so seems to work. But why does the fuse keep blowing. We've checked glo plugs and all seem to work ok off of a battery??? Can only think the relay sticks some times and keeps glow plugs heated for too long

funny this post has came as only Saturday i was checking the glow relay out on my 2.7tdi as even after new glows it takes a bit of turning to start.
i disconnected the plug and put a volt meter in the end and to earth, watched meter and turned glow on,dash light came on meter showed volts,30 seconds dash light out volts still showing for another 25 secs then of that went to.assuming mine is working fine. |
