This thread has just reminded me, I stuck a poppy in there last November - it must still be there.

The paper disc cost must be peanuts in the grand scheme of DVLA things.Now they're making a fortune out of everyone who sells a car. You loose any part of the month you're in when you sell it. Then you get to pay from the start of the month you're in when you buy

I make that a win win for DVLA and unless you flog your car in the last day or two of the month and buy on the first day or two then that's a loose loose to us

Personally I think the whole tax disc thing is a shame and all road tax should be charged at the pumps.
You use the road a lot, you pay more , simples

All the more reason for it to be bloody cheaper and yes, it should be on the pump price.

Banshee follow link but think does one for each month to tie with your renewal.

I did think leave it on when runs out so folks who have forgotten about new process think I'm out of tax.

Also considered getting a replica of the first one the truck had ie expire 11/03. Many classic owners are doing just this. Can supply a link to a guy on fb making old replica discs.
