Not technically correct The legislation was changed to alter the conditions under which handguns could legally be owned. Target shooting was removed from the list of acceptable conditions so effectively it prevented there ownership to a great many folk who used them perfectly safely fro years & derived huge enjoyment from shooting them. The can still be legally owned on a FAC for humane destruction of livestock, but they're generally revolvers, and modified so they can only hold two shots

Yeah shooting the big guns were awesome thanks, and yes a real shame uk law is so strict

I will be getting myself a nice semi auto 22 rifle once I have joined a club me thinks

And cheers for the information re handguns, unfortunately that wont help me though
