maybe having to sell - whats it worth??
hi, unfortunately due to ill health i am maybe having to look at selling my terrano. having to look for a smaller vehicle with an automatic gearbox that would be easier to drive.
its a 2001 (x reg) lwb 2.7 td terrano se with 86000 miles in very good condition. ive looked at numerous website comparisons but they range so much. im hoping for a rubbish quote so that i'll have a reason not to sell!!! how much should i be asking for in a private sale?? thanks |

Seriously, sorry to hear that your health is not good, not a clue on the prise. At the moment seems to be what ever some one is prepared to pay. |

I'm going to look into this as I to have probs with my legs rag  over 10 years ago I knew a lad who was in a wheelchair & had no use of his legs but had a manual car (Nove GTE)& it was fitted with a solinoid which controled the clutch via a switch on the gear knob

yes great idea. trying to sell a used 4x4 during a credit crunch with record fuel cost is not going to get you the best price... it prob wont even get you a good price if you want to know what something is worth look at completed items on ebay , then you know what to expect, personally i would keep it and look into the above idea |

This is a post by Wildbri on the subject that got miss posted .
before there was auto boxes on small cars all cars for the handicapped had hand controls, they were fitted by the government , There was hand clutch and hand brakes and accelerator, these were just normal cars (ford pops and prefects were the one I saw so I am sure a t2 could be converted to suit your problem. I have a friend who lost a leg and he made himself a hand acc and he towed a caravan, regards....bri  _________________ a wise man learns, by others mistakes........that why he uses this site......... 1997 terrano tdi sr red alloys side steps front and rear tow bars - |

hands and legs are only part of my problem! hence the auto, as i wouldnt be using a clutch or gear stick then.

If you like the T2, and would still like to drive this kind of vehicle, have you thought of maybe making a swap ( with cash either way) with someone who has got an automatic transmission Mistral or Maverick ?
Just a thought ....... |
