Default Hi Folks, newbie on site!

Hi Folks,
Just got myself a Terrano 2, 2002 3.0SVE auto.
Had a Disco before that, and a few other 4x4's, but what a great machine........I am lucky I think to get a low mileage model (73K) and well looked after.
It will serve as a workhorse for carrying my gardening and climbing kit, and as a very nice car for the Lady.
I live and work in France, and visit UK regularly, so it will be doing 4-500mile treks often, already done one trip and quite comfortable and plenty of 'grunt'.
Keep well, drive safe

Welcome to the club, you will find plenty of helpful info here.

Have a good gander underneath and get plenty of rust protection on if it doesn't already have it.

Hi Guys,
Thank you for your warm welcome.
I live down in the Dordogne, where I run a small (very small......me) landscape gardening and tree surgery business, so the T2 is a workhorse and limo!
JohnB.......I am from S Wales, and visit my Mum fairly regularly in Swansea! Small world!

I have had a look underneath, and it seems in good nick, some light rust on edges etc but no serious maggot, but I agree that some underbody treatment would be highly benificial............I don't know anything about Waxoyl, although obviously heard of it...........how do you get it and apply etc...........Halfords or where.....sorry to sound like a numpty

kind regards and thanks to all

Welcome you can't go far wrong with a Terrano, i've had a series 2 Discovery & found the Terrano better off road the only plus side of the Disco was the sound of the V8 but the fuel bills were

Waxoyl? Get under with a brush and do everywhere, You will also be covered in the stuff. Or get a cheap electric sprayer which is by far the better way of doing it.

You can also get spray on waxoyl which is applied via a hand pump.
There are other protection systems on the market, I use Bilt Hamber products
