The Meaning of Life (including 42)
At the age of 65 years I realise I have more years behind me than I have left ahead of me so my bucket list is quite short.
1) To wake up each day with a pulse everything else during the day ahead is a bonus. 2) To enjoy good health relative to my age. (I have four stents in my heart 2007-2010, recovered from one mild heart attack in 2011, Hodgkin's Lymphoma survivor chemo etc in 1987 & 1991 - (I think that damaged my heart) I count my blessings as many are so much worse of than me healthwise. 3) To share what time I have left with her indoors, family and friends. 2) To never have to take Viagra. lol |

I've had many plans over the years, when I was I teen I wanted to work with horses, teach & eventually own my own riding school in Canada, but then I got pregnant
worked low paid jobs, going nowhere & was always a toss up between work & my kids as a single mum (at the time) its a hard decision to make, spend time at work & provide or spend valuable time with my kids. I was still doing horsey exams at that point also & still had the overall dream of going to canada & opening a yard. My plans stayed the same until a few years ago when I worked at a riding school (I only had my son at that point). the hours were ridiculiously long combined with travel, I maybe seen my son for 5/6hrs a week if I was lucky. If I wasn't a parent I would of stayed but the final straw came during the 'big freeze' when I was at risk of being snowed in at work & decided to leave & didn't go back. Since then I've had my daughter & am now studing Accounts, the plan is now to complete my HND, get a job do my degree through open uni & just be able to live comforably. |
