Their off again with another road tax
I came across this  Well it looks as if the goverment has another sting in it's tail  1st off they are going to raise the road tax up to silly money as we all sadly know, they are killing us with fuel duty tax BUT now they have another idea on how to tax the last few pounds we have left out of us

more tax
if they did away with road tax and brought in this system wouldn't be a bad idea.but they would always find another tax to replace the revenue they would lose from people like me who only use there car at the weekends mainly.plus it would force drivers to use minor roads to avoid the high prices.

I guess this will apply to all vehicles, including trucks.
This will be another opportunity for foreign vehicles to exploit this loop hole as they won't have these tracking devices fitted. Under EU law they have a right to use our roads. What about European registered vehicles, there are a lot of Eastern European vehicles on the UK roads. Will they be exempt? I thought we were part of Europe and we had European Directives that the UK follow (in the spirit of anyway, as these are only guidance). Clearly not when it comes to taxation and tolls. Expect transport costs to rocket and inflation to increase. Here we go again.. 8O 8O Rustic
