Nah then! New Member Tenner Lighter
I've been reading on here for ages, thought I would finally part with my £10 and then I can say hello to you all.
I have already had lots of valuable info from you all so thanks to everyone. Love my T2. We live semi rural on the outskirts of Elland and it was great over the last couple of weeks in the snow. Pulled a few out. Towed a fella up Beestonely Lane, was a bit worried to be honest but didn't let it show Flew up Needs a few jobs doing. Got the shock of my life when I lifted carpet under back seats where'd it all go? Got 1 side welded up and treated £150 nice job too. Put a lot of new metal in he did. Other side and boot floor needing to get done when weather gets nicer. Finish it off with a nice Waxoyl I reckon. Wings are shot, dunno what to do with them yet, I try not to look Tyres have almost had it, so that's the next job on the list. More ££'s |

Welcome to the site. Have LWB 00 TDI Terrano II also with same issues as you have, rust on back floor pan, tyres good as gone, some rust on wings. Sadly had to take mine off the road eventhough rust is not really too bad (but would have cost too much to get it through test here in S. Ireland) and now driving a 03 LWB Terrano.

Rust on rear floor pan is a common fault with the Terrano. The rust happens along where some metal plates are joined because water gets into the joining. Don't think a bit of wading now and then will make a great deal of difference as it happens under normal road conditions anyway. Surely the area around the joining could be sealed up with something or other though and you could wade away. I don't think all the Terrano's have this problem though as some don't seem to have plates joining at the same place.
