Post Hello and help

I appreciate that I'm being a right divvy but for the life of me I can't see how to post a new query on this forum without going in via the introduce myself part of the site, or maybe that is the correct way to do it :-)

I'm trying to find out if there is any way to remove a locking spare wheel cover and keep it intact since I don't have the keys or is it simply a case of popping it open with a hammer and screwdriver and buying a new cover?

HeHe, welcome aboard. Try clicking on this link and scrolling down to the Terrano section or what ever motor you happen to have http://www.nissan4x4ownersclub.com/forum/index.php

If your cover is like the type that I've just been given you'll probably be able to turn the lock with a good twist of a screwdriver but it'll ruin the lock. Try posting a photo of your lock and see what others say about it.

Without pics we cant help as we are not sure what you have to deal with.

However, the lock is to prevent theft, so i dont see a way of removing it with out damage to something.
