The fact it does both slides and negatives is very interesting...

I will be able to copy all my slides from 20 years ago, that I have never looked at since, and convert them to digital and store on my computer or say onto DVD and never look at them again for another 20 years.

To be honest, I do have quite a collection of slides from my old instamatic camera. Pre 35mm I think they used a cartridge called a 126.

Now if I can only remember if they were colour or possibly sepia...

I though I was the only club member that posted about Aldi.

126 don't usually fit too well in the cheapo scanners, either use a decent dedicated scanner (nikon, canon, etc.) that has the ability to tightly hold any width of film smaller than 35mm or look at using a high end flatbed film scanner, but even these often have focus issues as the lens has a tiny depth of field.

If you were a bit nearer Rustic I'd be happy to lend you my Epson 4490, would do the job.

funny should find this post as just found in maplin promotion booklet,

something very similar, but doesnt need pc as stores to an sd card,
looks like can connect to pc as well.

here's an example of a not so cheap used film scanner, and yes, it will do slides pos or neg too...
