Assisted GPS
Does anyone know what "Assisted GPS" is on mobile phones. Surely it's either GPS or not? I was told by someone at work today that it's not GPS but location via the cells of the phone network.

The combination of all three provides assisted GPS, gives a much faster location rather than wait for the GPS receiver to find enough satellites for a precise location. Especially useful if the phone cant see the sky! |
