A better tool than the one you've got..
A year or so back, I bought one of these from Aldi:
A multi function tool. http://www.aldi.co.uk/uk/html/offers...uys3_21213.htm One job in particular was made easy with it.I had to replace a few (a lot) of double glazed window units (misted) that were bedded in with mastic behind a wooden glazing bar in wooden framed windows. I used the scraper between the glass and the glazing bead, and the mastic couldn't wait to get out. Making removal of the glazing bars in one piece for reuse. The other job was to replace some soffit boxes, but you can never get right in with a saw to cut the last bit. With the saw blade it was easy. The semicircular blade I used for cutting clear plastic corrugated roofing sheets, no cracks, no splits. Nice sander as well, but I already have one of the triangular sanders. The "Worx" ones that you see for sale on Sunday morning on the " DIY (Destroy It Yourself) shopping channel" are well over £100. Worth a look, from Thursday next week, at Aldi.
