Hi bubbles18, welcome to the club as all the others have said tell us what problems you have with your truck and I bet some one will be along with the answer.

If you go into the your account ont the top of the home page and fill in the details of your truck and your location it will save everybody keep asking

There are also a lot of answers to questions in the downloads section (again on the top of the home page)

Good Luck

As for the poor starting & smoke on start up I would think a new set of glow plugs should sort that out  As for it beint tappetty I would look at adjusting the tappets  As for the missfire & being sluggish I would disconect the MAF unit to see if there is any difference, if there is'nt I would look into replacing the Maf unit  I would also have a look in the banjo bolt on the fuel pump to see if your truck has been fitted with a mini filter like my 1999 T2 had 8O since removing it I've found that the slight missfire/flat spot under 2k rpm has seamed to gone
You will find all the info & a step by step guide in the download section about these probs
