for whatever reason, Quentin was biased from the begining. I cant understand his comments. faceless? I believe most 4x4 had very similar looks at the time, round head lights, rounded body panels etc, if anything, the Terrano looked better! And how wrong he was, the Terrano has proved itself in an off road capacity too...!

lol I agree with this point, a Disco parked next to mine in a Tesco carpark a couple of weeks ago when I took my mother out, I did a little dig at it for a joke and my mum was like, oh I thought they were all the same

Bless her!! lol

I've had mine 16 years, and I still enjoy driving it.
I had about 600+ kgs of sandstone rocks in it last week. Plus a small trailer with 300 kg+

The only negative thing that top gear said was its dull looks, well we are not spending our time looking at it at the garage waiting for it to be repaired.

I noted he said park it next to a discovery...... etc because they spend more time "off road" ( Garage) than ours not many are able to park by us.

So maybe then, the best "off roader by far" must then be the discovery..... as it spends most of its life........... off road. ( Garage)..

Hang on, was he saying that the "P" reg discovery was not dull then....
That guttering and roof line is really cool (NOT).
Rear of the discovery always wet as the guttering seal always leaks and so do those roof lights.
It must me those self cleaning carpets..

Hang on, did I hear him right, the Terrrano is more reliable than its sister Maverick.
Since they are the same beast from the same factory, using the same parts etc, how is that the case. ?

The only factor is the poor "Ford" servicing at the time, who created more faults than they repaired.
I used Ford during the 3 year warrenty them switched to Nissan for a few years before doing all the servicing myself.

In fact I'm glad all 4x4's "look the same" we are no wider or longer than an estate car, but few people overtake a parked vehicle when they see me coming in my mav..

They (so far) give way....

Are you supposed to slow down when it's your right of way then....?
