if microsoft built 4x4s
IF MICROSOFT BUILT 4x4's .....
Every time you went to a new Pay & Play site you would have to get new 4x4. Your 4x4 would stop for no reason in the smallest puddle, you would drag it out, restart and drive on; you would just accept this is normal. Occasionally, when a new passenger got into your 4x4 it would inexplicitly break down, and you would have to re-install the engine. For some strange reason, you would accept this is normal too. You could only have one passenger in the car at a time, unless you bought the Group Licence, this would be a Sankey Trailer with Deck Chairs gaffer taped to it. Macintosh would make a sports 4x4 that was easier to drive, twice as fast, but 10 times more expensive - but you won't dare drive it off road because it wouldn't be cool to get it dirty. It would in fact be a Range Rover Sport. The Macintosh 4x4 owners would have to get expensive Microsoft upgrades to their 4x4, which would make them run much slower. Linux would make a 4x4, that was cheaper, more capable and more reliable, but would come as in parts you would have to built yourself. It would in fact be a Hybrid Project. Unix would make a 4x4, that was robust, reliable, and capable of recovering the Microsoft 4x4. It would in fact be a Uni-Mog. The oil, gas and alternator warning lights would be replaced by a single audible warning, which sounded like stirring bolts in a tin. They would all be left hand drive because that's the defacto standard. The gear change, breaks and air bag would ask "are you sure?" before functioning. If you got stuck you would have no idea why. You would have to use Microsoft (TM) Fuel otherwise you would invalidate your warranty. |
