when youre negotiating a road like this (yesterday morning)

an hgv with the ability to jack knife maybe isnt the best option

He was well cream crackered , the tractor was stuck on ice and the trailer couldnt be uncoupled. He tried to roll backwards but couldnt steer but had a nice drop off to his off side

Got pulled by Heddlu yesterday after a PNC check on the Micra.....wifey had let insurance expire the day before but luckily I'd got her to renew at 10am before I set off for Oxford LOL

And I must have an honest face cos he even took my word for it.....!

....shame he missed the seatbelt, which is why I thought he'd stopped me!

it was yesterday for him

All probably thawed now but yesterday the "Struggle" up out of Ambleside was closed. I was quite disappointed, was looking forwards to tackling it

ha thats only a hill !! you want to be going over Hardknott and Wrynose pass for a proper
ride out!!! and don't forget Honister pass!!

ahhhh them were the days , front wheel drive was ok, rear wheel drive was a laugh

yup, i did consider heading over to Hardknott to see what was what but the missus and available time over ruled me.

Been there following the very same car :doh

Must say though a4 or 5 years back we went over hardknott and were following a Moggy Minor. To say he was brisk and enthusiastic was an understatement.

I'd have thought he had no choice but to drive like that, I'm surprised he made it on some of those bends TBH.
