Hello and welcome,

I too am a new member and also a new T2 owner (and an R reg T2 2.7 TDi LWB).

The car is beautiful to drive but I have had a couple of brown trouser moments in ice thus far, could just be me not used to driving such a large heavy vehicle but it is VERY heavy and in ice on a decline trying to slow down wasnt fun yesterday for me ROFL!!!

Ended up on a junction sideways!!

Other than that, AWESOME car and cant wait to test it in snow!

welcome, where in nottinghamshire are you?
we are in selston, just got the maverick myself, bought as a bit of a whim from ebay, thinking how bad can it be?
well lots of welding and lots and lots of suspension parts later, it passed its mot.
an irish import, log book is wooly on age, but guess at 98, LWB.
have been using it for work, driving about 6000 miles in last two months (work are paying, plus i save tax every month) lovely to drive, does pull a bit to the left though

so, 3 miles away??
we used to live in nunkergate, think thats how it was spelt?
our maverick is dark blue, with irish plates RBZ, thankfully not "private plates" it actualy did come from belfast, makes the log book a bit odd for some reason.
durring the last snow me an my son were on salmon lane trying it out, first go we got stuck due to auto locker having internal parts missing
got auto locker from scrappy, recond it at home, then the wife stole car to get kids to school every day!
but i was laid up in bed with flu.
the local scrapyard has a 97/98 ford maverick in, no engine or box but everything else, except one auto locker and a few bits.
was very anoyed when i found it, i had gone all the way to hull to get a seat and door card.

i do my own repairs and welding, mot and other odd job (wifes car) get done at deano's garage in middlebrook, called middlebrook garrage.
from kirkby to selston, turn left at end of salmon lane, down the dip, first right at bottom, or his son has garage in selston.
dont you diy then?
give it a go, just like big boys mechano.

derby, the field at the bottom of my garden is derbyshire.
