Only alarm bell on this one is the lack of "log book" anyone who takes possession of a vehicle without one has not completed due process. Even if te vehicle is 100% legit it could cause a chew on. and if the vehicle isnt legit.......enough said.

seen far too many tears shed and cars lost on deals where "all youve got to do is get the log book"

at risk of sounding dim, how can he own car that long and not have one.
who realistically has it and if its a 3rd party how will you know who has
it. never been in this situ so intregied. mind a pal was looking at a car
from a 'dealer' who didnt have paperwork to hand, would post on , yeah
right so he walked away too.

If he's like me the log book is safely filed..................................somewhere:d oh
If it's a good enough deal I'd check dvla or pay the man a small deposit while he gets a replacement. Should only take a week.

I'm seriously considering a weekend 4x4 troll could be just right. I like the jeep too much to trash it off road.
