Some people don't have any choice, and it is quite interesting that in modern Britain city centers are now safer than rural locations. Racist (and sad) violence is on the increase in remoter towns an villages!

i would say not a lot of inner city areas very rough (chatsworth estate springs to mind!) and most violence is towards the white minority i am rural and read court reports avidly and see mostly drink drivers and no ins

everyone has choices if they apply themselves and prioritise what is most important to them and there family.

if only life was that simple mate - everyone views the world from their own cultural paradigm and for most white working class and middle class people that is the 'nuclear family' ideology that was 'applied' by successive governments from the end of the first world war on, and had it's heyday on the 30's to the 50's. It made families more insular, break kinship networks and made people more reliant on the state - the main reason for this was 'social control'. An interesting study form way back when this was all going on is Willmott and Young's Family & Kinship in East London (1957.

So those options are only really considered by people who live this 'nuclear family' life style, ties to wider family and community keep a lot of people where they are. Which is , interestingly, something modern social policy is moving toward (once again) as a way of reducing welfare dependency and the 'nanny state'.

I do love a good bit of Social Policy

are you saying hes a jolly nice chap and deserves to live here why dont you ring the home office and ask them to register your house as a bail hostel for all those nice chaps on control orders.

But it is an offense dealt with under the race relations act and in the context you are using it - it is racist.

People should be punished for extremist views - including racism - in your own way you are just as bad. He (I'm assuming, as i haven't looked) is a very unpleasant man - if the law is acting blame the law and get something changed - blame him as an individual - ore even him and people who think like him (including white racists) but blaming a whole faith and/or race is unacceptable.

And this is just a pedantic point scoring thing now. I admire our tenacity, but face it mate - among reasonable people racism is unacceptable.
