Its the curves !
You are right the E-Type is a brilliant design. He went for the slightly earlier model as he preferred the looks of the more inboard looking wheels. The colour is in fact a non Jaguar metallic dark blue. He has red leather seats but as they are a little short in the back with no head rests he is going to fit a pair of MX5 seats and have them trimmed in red leather to match.
It has upgraded disc brakes & suspension all round. The steel looking wheels are in fact alloy lightweights a copy of the original Jaguar Dunlop Racing wheels they have an adaptor hub that fits the splined hubs to enable the wheels to be bolted onto. They cost him a fortune, personally I prefer the look of Chrome Wire Wheels that he has retained for Car Shows. He has dodged the question about how much he has paid for it, he sold his Facel Vega HK500 (Looked brilliant being sort of Art Deco in appearance -it drove like a Camel though) to help pay for it so I guess it was quite a bit. He reckons that the Jaguar is an investment that will perform better than the Stock Market. Nice work if you have the funds. |
