think they out source the engines and 'box (they used to use 'our' 2.7td) but think the other main comonents are uk made.

the later taxi's are different, think their transit engines, earlier one were 2.7td, i did know a guy who had a disabled daughter and he used it to carry her and the wheel chair, he reckoned it was the best motor for the job. make him right, and fairly cheap too.
