hmm tricky one, the club dont issue cards.
and as far as im aware you dont have membership numbers.

i guess the only way forward is a letter from bat confirming you are indeed a member of the club

he could put this in the downloads section, for everyone to use

Bat is the chap that owns the site. Technically its not a club as such, but a pay to view website (a club has a different legal meaning) like just about every other 4x4 site on the net, hence the lack of membership cards, but I'm sure if Bat can come up with something your insurance company won't know the difference!

But...:augie

How about a club certificate like you get with your vehicle insurance :D

It wouldn't cost much for a sheet of A4 / envelope & a 2nd class stamp :augie

the msot cost effective would be a sef print one (as already sugested) accesible only to members, as it's the time and effort it takes as well.

ironically guys thats partially where the club fee came from in the old days,
help cover admin costs that problably didnt need doing in first place.

that said got a bn(not)ib lighter and pen from club mk1. was found to be
to costly, but fee continued, mainly to cover admin's out of pocket expenses
and contribute to server costs though the latter had a fund of its own at one
point.

Well as per my earlier post Dee, it isn't a club in the strict sense (nor has it ever been, despite what people think - issuing a bit of plastic doesn't change your legal status in any way).

I mean if you go and join a porn site you don't get a membership card do you? Cos its just a website, which is all this is (except we make it a GREAT one!).

Formal clubs will have rules, regulations, a charter, nominated officials, treasurer, chairman, secretary etc...this website just has a single private owner, so its entirely up to him if he wants to issue a membership card...but as I said, its worth checking what your insurance company deems to be a 'club', otherwise you might just as well tell 'em your a member of this 'club'....
http://www.barryboys.co.uk/mx/

Personally I thinks tezzers idea is best, except Bat might have a view on copyright...!

Colin anybody could throw anything like that together in Word in about five minutes.....the only issue here is Bat letting someone sue his websites name for that. Can't see it would be an issue personally but he owns the domain name.

anyway, i have said this many times before.

its our club, ok we pay bat for the site use. but outside of the club/site/forum we are free to do as we please.

so there is nothing stopping anyone doing things like the national or team south east or wales or anything you want.

so infact there is nothing stopping someone sorting membership cards or pens or anything they want.

showing your age now paul.... but yes if you like

the only issue is the site name . but from conversations ive had . bat is always keen for people to stand up and make a difference

at the end of the day he collects from people who sign up to use the site, but he dont get involved and over rule us when we organize stuff.

team wales is still nissan4x4ownersclub.com team wales ..... he dont moan we use his sites name does he

whatever people do to make this lace better and more club like ... he always encourages it

so i gotta say yes it costs 10 quid to use his site . but its a whole lot more thats free , only cos we make it happen and he lets it

I think you'll find that most insurers (op doesnt say how much is knocked off on his offer) will offer similar discounts via other sources or a broker will cut their commission margin to match :thumb2

Give em another ring and tell them youre also in the big shoe red nose car horn that goes parp parp club and post em a pic of Ronald McDonald as your id , I'm sure they'll consider a discount for you.

Hi just a quickie at the end. I have my insurance with Sureterm Direct £228 TPFT on 4.2petrol LWB Partol. On my previouse insurance they asked for proof of club membership I printed out the welcome email and that was enough. I think if you payed your value for money membership via PayPal you could also print out a copy of that invoice to say you are a paidup member.
