Is that a big wall mirror being smashed ?

How many years bad luck if it is !!

Great Pictures took me back to the 3 day week period in 1973/4 ish when miners strike led to power cuts.

I was working in the car trade in Burton-on-Trent the Boss gave the salesman the option of being laid off or take it in turns to travel to Stoke-on-Trent and help with the demolition of an old Petrol Forecourt plus all the outbuildings including shop, old model railway building and toilet block.

It was great fun and the work lasted about 6 weeks all done with big sledge hammers and packing case levers.
At the time a new showroom was under construction at Burton so we then worked as labourers helping out with the roof concreting using a lightweight ash based product. Also shuttering the crash barriers on the sides etc.
That work lasted about another 3 months by that time a few salesmen had left and the strike was over. Of the original 5 salesmen 2 remained.

New ramp between inner and outer front doors, in place of step, will have non slip finnish, all for today Rick

"If you like it? that is" what an understatement... I for one am very interested in what you are doing. Rick you keep those pictures rolling.:thumb2

There are some forums that would critisize putting non 4x4 topics on a 4x4 site, but our forum is not like that, we have become a family and try and support each other. If any of us can help each other, we take time out of our busy schedule, we rarely give one line answers like some forums. I am amazed that you can take a few minutes to take those pictures, and then post them when you get home.:thumb2

I envy your energy levels, last night my wife drove us home from our daughters, it was all I could do to climb the stairs when we got home, that is a fact.

Keep it up Rick. Well done, proper job..
Uncle Rustic
