brake line corrosion.

Been a member on here for ages.
But I don't know how to search the forum.
I need a link or info on how to replace my brake lines.
They were pitted when I brought it.
I've painted over them a few times but it may be a good idea to replacethem .
Is it easy? Is it expensive?
How do you change them?
And are the pipes are formed to fit car or do you buy it in lengths and shape yourself?
What about end fittings?
I ain't got a clue.but it can't be that hard.

I believe the main pipes under the car are pre shaped for the terrano, the hoses if you wanna do it properly, get some braided hoses made up, a bit of research needed but not any real extra cash, you could also make em a bit longer to allow extra travel :thumb2

I make brake pipes on site, but have the tool to do the flairs, single or double metric or imperial, your best bet is to remove the whole pipe and trot it along to your nearest factor/garage that can do the same, get them to make it a little longer than original as you will never get the bends the same and better to be a bit too long than too short, Rick

Getting the correct fittings are essential, as are the flaring on the ends of the pipe. Some flares are concave, some convex, so never chance any guess work, as the pressure in the pipes can be extreme under emergency braking, and you don't want a joint to seperate.

There are many places that will copy your existing pipes, but also take the nuts as well as the pipe.
Pipe material and diameters vary too.

There is also the main dealer route, not always as expensive as you think...
