I cant stand all my work tools, cloths, mops and window cleaning bucket slopping around in the boot.
I know a rubber boot liner and a few tupper ware tubs could organise it but I decided to strip it out and design a boot to fit my lifestyle.
Ive seen one or two pics on here of lift up floors for tools ect and am going to start there.
I also want a stow for a trolly jack, spanners ect.
Ive removed the plastic side panels to start and the carpet is probably going tomorow.
Behind the drivers side boot panel there is what seems to be a horn.
one of the connectors has snapped off it so its obiously out of action.
whats it there for! anyone know? with it being broken i cant test it. do i need it or is it for the bin too?
It just came to me it may be an alarm as the truck doesnt seem to be belled up.
some one else said a reversing beeper .(doubt that).

I'm thinking... what an opportunity to design some side lockers, the problem with the Mav/ Terrano there are no cubby holes to store all the junk that we carry, tools, jump leads, tow ropes, shackles, gloves, spare bulbs, fan belts, gaffer tape ohboy the list goes on.

On the Picasso, there are under floor compartments.

On the mav, under the driver's seat, I have a plastic box with standard tools in, with a lid and a strap to keep it there.
It took ages to source one:doh

thats exactly my plan.
clip in take out side storage lockers for my work tools with built in quality speakers that just plug in as you clip the sides in.

It is the alarm horn... mine had the wire snapped as well, but I fixed it the other day..

If you jack the car up with a trolley jack under the diff, and then drop it back down pretty quickly, while the car is locked, the indicators flash and that horn sounds, as I discovered trying out my new trolley jack....:augie

So that's where it is, people have kept talking about the alarm horn being around there.

Yep its 100% the alarm horn:thumb2

Wouldn't like to be in the car when it goes off.. or a dog in the boot for that matter
