hi just wondering what ratings my 3.0 td troll's alternator has.
toying with a generator for the caravan but wonder how quickly
the car can recharge the van's battery, either via existing split
charge or directly of main battery with jump leads.
the troll has a useful 'heat' switch which sets the engine running
at 1200rpm to warm car up.
alternatively a decent invertor can run the battery charger in the
van.
