The last post by Andrew Moorey, was closest except that charge of 14+ volts refers to a near fully charged battery, more important just after starting is the AMPS initially you want to see 50+ dropping down to 25 to 12 for around half an hour, the other posts were !!!!!!!!!!! what can I say, Rick
