For those of you that have top front bump stops, would anyone be kind enough to measure the height of the, as I am missing both :thumb2

I would guess at about 20-25 mm or so.too dark and cold for me to go outside now.
When mine fell off my last terrano I used some of them rubber door stop things from big n queers.
Cut the hole out about half way down so I could push a bolt in.
Was a pain to get the nut on the other end as there is very little room on the other side of the bolt hole.

Well I managed to find a exhaust mount at ricks, I have chopped in half and stuck on with evostick.

We will see if it holds :lol

Far too much travel for the poor old cv joints otherwise!

That's probably what caused it to go then if you where spinning a wheel at full droop with no bump stops then when it gripped it will go bang.

Ney it was shagged before :doh the boot came off a while back, I popped a load of grease into it and did up with all I had (a cable tie) but it was no good, as soon as we got on the pay n play and engaged 4wd, clack clack clack

I must point out though, that it worked the whole time, never stopped putting power through

Right, I've measured them.

Oh.. you want to know the height right.

Well they are bigger than you think.

They are 75mm left to right, 50mm front to back, and just over 40mm high.
I bet that surprised you... it surprised me too...

They taper upwards and outwards, and the point of contact is approx 30mm in from the outward edge of the upper fixed suspension strut.

ooooxoooooooo
oooxxxxoooooo
ooxxxxxxxxooo
oxxxxxxxxxxxo

Right, if you join and fill in the x's above, this is the general shape of what the driver's side looks like looking from the front. ie there is more rubber towards the outside than there is to the inside...
Hope it helps,
best regards,
Rustic

must depend on the year...if by top front bump stops you mean the one that stops the top A arm hitting the chassis on full droop it is a 50mm diameter half round bubble that is 25mm high when new. I had to buy some recently.

yhankyou chaps. so must be different years? 40mm to 25mm

ive used a n exhaust mount anyway. im guessing mine was about 40mm tall.

Thoough detail there rustic. Thank you!
