But .... i need to MAINTAIN connection between IGN and CHK to get MIL Flash codes

ERASING codes quotes "CH - CHK" position which is NOT listed on " fig 2 " of the graphic

................... can anyone give full desc of all pins for clarity

There are "TWO" versions of getting codes, I think it is down to Zexel or Bosch but have not been able to prove this as yet, with one you join and hold the connection to get the codes and break to clear them, the other you join and break to get codes then join and break again to clear, now you can see if you have the first I have described then following the manual you will erase the codes before you see them, Rick

I have a BOSCH setup

shorting CHK and IGN gives codes all OK and cycles through any (multiple) codes again and again

all OK there (as long as connection maintained )

breaking connection does not erase codes ....... you can go back & repeat several times if needed

I don't know the OTHER pin layouts on the 14 pin CONSULT plug and so am loathe to fiddle about in case I snaff the ECU !!

Q1 . ?? Anyone got a pin layout for 14 pin CONSULT ??

Q2. ?? is the layout same for BOSCH and ZEXTEL ??

The other pins are of no interest to you, yes it seems the Bosch is make and hold, same as my Mrs motor, the one I have just sold was a Zexel and that was make and break to get codes, Rick
