Guess could go in wanted area but looking for advise on who or where can get one
of these. the four studs are much smaller diameter and spacing horizontally nearer
too along with another pair beneath the ball.

want to add as need to gain space ie ball further out to clear spare and also allow
fitting of jaw/ball hitch and a stabilizer plate.

thought of swapping whole bar but the witter features a higher nose weight than
most of regular jobs, also as in not broken doesnt need fixing just improving.

Might be worth trying a camping/caravan accessory shop; not sure if its the same thing but I bought a four-hole converter of some kind that I used as an upside drop-plate when I needed to raise the ride height of a big box trailer I was using....can't remember what it was though and its on the wifes T2 which is trapped in SW Wales at the moment! Boohoo!

ta, seen em on the bay once or twice. its not a dixon bate type slider though they do have
4 holes but at centres equiv to 2 bolt mount. yep will ask Scott as already asked about
an alternative 'bar design.

alternative is ditch witter for say a towsure then will have standard holes, maybe even
4 of them as i recall asking them about their pathy version for another member.

then can easily add a dropper, spacer or stabilizer plate. TS's are running at 96.50 and
could recoup some of that by selling witter, after all its likely as old as truck so wont
hurt to update. either that or drill out new holes in stab' plate which will act as a spacer
and studs certainly long enough.

I just use a normal bulldog stabilizer plate and drilled holes to suit. you can get 4 hole ball/pin
couplings from agriculture engineers/ farm supplies. Lovely places to look around they have such interesting kit! regards...bri

We had some discussion on an earlier thread about this and fitting Alko hitches.
Dixon Bate make a 4 to 2 adapter on behalf of Alko ,just under £20 !
Some info on the Alko web site.
Worth checking dimensions.
Most towbar dealers I checked had never heard of them.

thanks for links, dont know why didnt try before, found a 5t jaw
with 4 centres 85m x 45mm. £88 plus vat but way heavier than
standard 2 bolt version rated at 3.5t. need either a ball/pin or
seperate ball and pin so ball doesnt rattle. pin will make good
place to wrap breakaway around though.

already considered drilling out one of my old towsure stab plates
likely only way to do it as those that clamp to ball neck to big
for shape of it i reckon.
