Hi I’ve had a towbar fitted to my t31 with the electrics however the towbar wires needed splicing to the car loom and guy who did it didn’t have time (I was visiting a friend at the time) Now my OH needs to do it but we not sure of the process Has anyone done this and if so can you give us a run down of how to do it And/or anyone got a clear wiring diagram so he can splice right wires
Thank you in anticipation

First thing i would check is the wiring to the rear lights to make sure there is no dedicated tow bar electrics plug.
Some have them fitted and some don't.
If it does then you can buy the patch lead which is plug and play.
Failing that i would have search on google or you tube for instructions.

With the 13 pin system you need to know what you are doing if going to splice into the system and some of the wires do not exist even, so you would need to add these to your existing loom, if as Elty suggests there may be a plug and play solution if you are lucky enough to have it, check out the user manual that came with the motor or ring Nissan, the socket if it is there will be hidden behind panelling but who knows where? Don't be tempted by the ease of using Scotch Locks

They can be of limited use in a very dry situation but these little critters seem to fail when used on tow bar wiring.

Surprisingly a good crimp fitting takes some beating if you have some propper pliers for them.
