If the passengers one is still moving as it should, then the wiper arm has either popped off it's splines or the mechanism under the scuttle panel has fell apart

I reckon if the wiper was frozen down it may well have popped off under the scuttle panel. Might be a worn plastic bearing that has caused it.

Had the same happen to me,it had popped out of the linkage.
I did a quick roadside fix by moving the passenger side wiper further up the screen so it cleared most of the drivers side when operated.
Most likely Need a new linkage as they are not designed to be fixed.

That being said, I was too cheap to buy a kit, so fixed mine a few months ago with heavy duty zip ties (holding the two arms together around the linkage). Works fine till now...

I also bodged mine back together :lol
Warmed up the plastic cup so it shrunk and popped the ball back in:thumb2
That was about three years ago

Decided to sell it and buy a newer one well I think. Only thing that works as it should is the engine :lol

The wiper problem is yet another common issue. Mines an 04 and previous to me owning it, there's been someone in fudging about with them. It's arms and ball joints in there that sounds like has popped apart. If you're not able to spend a day stripping things out to investigate, you need to find someone who can help you out now and again.
You'll soon get on top of the little jobs required.:thumb2
Is this your main transport?

Yes it's are only mode of transport. But I don't want to keep ploughing money into it especially not just after Xmas.we really like it and don't want to get rid but it seems to be one thing after another just little problems but the bills mount up .

I'm sure solarman (rick) will most likely have one and do it for a good price :thumb2
Stick with it,i was in the same predicament with mine a couple of years back,i was on the verge of scrapping it but I stuck with it and finally got it back into shape and have never looked back :thumb2

Annette, I haven't been on in a while so firstly welcome to the forum, and keep an eye out for blocky n banshee, two very dodgy peeps :D

You're probably not very far from me so if you ever need a hand give me shout, I have dealt with my wipers before, not too bad once you learn how to remove things and access the linkages. Top tip, lift the nut covers up, the nuts that hold the wiper arms to the splines and spray with some releasing agent (I darent say wd×@ :D) for as many days as you can before removing, actually that goes for pretty much every nut and bolt on a Terrano :lol:doh

Annette, why don't you list what's wrong with your truck on here. I'm sure it can't be so bad.

I agree with Jim, Some of them might be fixable for a few £, some fixes are free too, we like cheap fixes.
Serious rust can be a bit of a show stopper, unless yo know a good reliable welder, who can do it for a fair price, if yours is sound, then most things are fixable.
