A few pics of what's under your plastic arch and work involved to weld them up if you fancy it.
This is a fair example of what you find. Though the last lot I did were worse.

Rough cut to find the wing profile using the plastic trim.

Below the indicator where you would find the plastic clip that sildes into the bumper

Rear part of the arch.

Inside view

And a spot of filler getting ready to paint.:thumbs

The challenge is keeping the heat down and keeping the wings shape and not warping with the weld pull and heat. I have not worried too much about the weld joints hidden under the plastic trim.

Very nice!
But I have to confess, I did it the quick and dirty way, with fibreglass :)

Pretty darned impressive.

Don't think I'd have the patience for that.

:thumbs

Me neither, but top job, I will still go with gaffer tape cos I am not bothered anymore about looks, Rick

Do you weld a little here, let it cool. Weld a little there, let it cool.
This would be my approach :thumb2

That was my idea too, weld a bit move on to another area. Gradually wled the whole lot bit by bit.

How thick is the new metal?

Want to try and do it unless time,

Say maybe on tow red wings :nenau

Great job!:clap

Mine's might be like this, going on inside....:(
