Can these be repaired, or is it a replacement job.Window is stuck in the closed position.Tried to free it no joy.Cleaned and sprayed the runners a couple of weeks back along with the switch.I can hear a clicking when the switch is pressed. Not had the door card off yet (it's blowing a gale at the moment) Just looking for a heads up.Oh its a 2000 swb Terrano.Cheers.

We had this recently, chap tried to repair, ruined it and bought one of Cnc fabs if I remember rightly :nenau

Just trying to save a few quid, if it's doable. If it's already not working i don't see how i can make it not work anymore tbh.

Very good point sir!

Give it a go with the right info, im not sure how they strip apart though

it was me but on mine the wire push pull came away from the spool and i tried a few times to refit,in end pushed window up an wedged a bit of wood to stop the window moving.took motor and switch out.after new year i will collect part and fit it.
t2 just failed mot so more important work to be done first.

Yeah pull the door card and take a look at it, as said at the very worst youll have to wedge the glass up. My nsf has wanted doing sine i bought it but have not been bothered to play as it opens a few inch. It gets stuck if i drop it to bottom, tried lubing runners but not made any difference.

Thanks guys, will be having a look in the morning. I have replaced the whole mechanism on other vehicles, just not done one on the t2.

I'm sure they can jam at times & have read loosening the regulator bolts off a bit will allow it to free up & then nip the bolts back up

Try this mate, I've done this twice now and second time seems to have cured it :thumb2
Mine was sticking in the closed position.

Cheers for thatSweety and Big bunny.Happy to try and fix it before I look to replace said item.Just seems odd working and smooth one minute, then stuck.Maybe I should have not cleaned and sprayed with Lube a while back .Doh....

everything has stopped working on yours at one point :doh can't all be true can it :augie :thumbs

My terrano is self fixing :augie most of the time (with a bit of help) :lol

I have about 10 different cans of sprays, penetrant, lubricants, rust attackers, grease, brake fluid ect ect all in the goot, ready for any eventuality :lol
